Description

Delicious cookies featuring Oreos and M&Ms, perfect for celebrating Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 cup M&Ms, plus extra for topping
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Pink or red sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until everything is well combined and creamy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt to combine the dry ingredients.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to overmix to ensure a tender cookie.
  6. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies, M&Ms, and chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop generous amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  8. Top each cookie with a few extra M&Ms and a sprinkle of pink or red sprinkles if you’re feeling festive!
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center looks set.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. This helps them firm up while maintaining that soft center!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using different types of chocolate chips.
  • These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week.
  • Experiment with other festive toppings or mix-ins for different occasions!
