Description

A delicious and hearty casserole made with ground beef, green beans, and Tater Tots, topped with melted cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can green beans 15 oz, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded, divided
  • 1 bag frozen Tater Tots 32 oz
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the browned beef, drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until evenly mixed.
  4. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange a single layer of frozen Tater Tots on the bottom. Spread half of the beef mixture over the Tater Tots and sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Add a second layer of Tater Tots, then top with the remaining beef mixture and the remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the Tater Tots are crisp and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
  7. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before scooping and serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to drain the green beans well before adding them to the mixture.
  • This recipe can be customized by adding your favorite vegetables.
