Description

Delicious Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats loaded with M&M’s and chocolate chips, perfect for a sweet snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup mini M&M’s
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  5. Add Rice Krispies cereal to the pot and gently fold until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  6. Quickly fold in mini M&M’s and mini chocolate chips, reserving a small handful for topping.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down evenly using a buttered spatula or wax paper.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved M&M’s and chocolate chips on top and gently press them into the treats.
  9. Let cool at room temperature for about 1 hour or until set before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Make sure to use the mini versions of M&M’s and chocolate chips for better distribution throughout the treats.
  • For a crunchier texture, you can add chopped nuts or additional crispy cereal.
  • These treats are best eaten within a few days, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
