Delicious Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats loaded with M&M’s and chocolate chips, perfect for a sweet snack or dessert.

- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup mini M&M’s
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Add Rice Krispies cereal to the pot and gently fold until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Quickly fold in mini M&M’s and mini chocolate chips, reserving a small handful for topping.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down evenly using a buttered spatula or wax paper.
- Sprinkle the reserved M&M’s and chocolate chips on top and gently press them into the treats.
- Let cool at room temperature for about 1 hour or until set before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Make sure to use the mini versions of M&M’s and chocolate chips for better distribution throughout the treats.
- For a crunchier texture, you can add chopped nuts or additional crispy cereal.
- These treats are best eaten within a few days, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
