Description

A delightful combination of Dutch apple pie and creamy cheesecake, perfect for dessert lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups peeled and sliced apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the sour cream and ground cinnamon until fully incorporated.
  6. In a separate bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, flour, and salt until evenly coated. Fold the apple mixture into the cream cheese batter.
  7. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Sprinkle the rolled oats evenly over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool gradually.
  10. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth batter.
  • Can be made a day in advance for best flavor.
