- 225 grams thick-cut bacon
- 225 grams fresh mozzarella balls
- 100 grams panko breadcrumbs
- 60 millilitres pure maple syrup
- 28 grams unsalted butter
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Set oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wrap each mozzarella ball tightly with a slice of thick-cut bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
- Roll each bacon-wrapped mozzarella ball in panko breadcrumbs until evenly coated on all sides.
- Arrange coated poppers on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the bacon is golden and crispy.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in maple syrup and garlic powder, then simmer for approximately two minutes until slightly thickened.
- Drizzle the warm maple glaze over the freshly baked poppers and serve immediately.
